Amuse Studio September Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to My Paper Paradise!  Today I am delighted to be joining some fellow Amuse Studio consultants in a Blog Hop featuring the new Holiday catalogue.  If you are participating in the blog hop, you should have come from Tyuana Bailey's blog and if not, then you should start from the beginning with Samantha's blog until you come to my blog.

All this week I'm celebrating by 1,000th visitor to my blog with a give-away of some Amuse Studio goodies - see Tuesday's post for details.  Leave a comment by the end of Tuesday 6th to be included in the drawing.

I just received a bumper order from Amuse Studio full of lots of goodies from the Holiday catalogue, my only problem was where to start!  Actually, I'm not being strictly honest here - the first thing I did was pull out my brand spanking new Big Shot. and the small mitten and snowflake dies.  An hour later and look what I had, I'm imagining them as labels on a Kraft based wrapping paper.

Supplies:
card: cranberry, sugar
dies: small mitten, small snowflake
embellishments: white flocking

It's difficult to see, but look at the fur cuff to the mitten, white flocking, it looks like Santa's beard in a jar!  I'm afraid I'm going to be using this everywhere this year. (and the mustache set and black flocking may be going on my Christmas list)

Anyway, once I'd finished playing with my new toy I started on the card.  I had this design in my head when I order the stamp and for once it came out as I imagined it (or slightly better even!)

Supplies:
stamps: naughty or nice
card: winter sky, sugar, candy cane, cherry woodgrain
ink: memento black tuxedo
embellishments: Copics, cherry bakers twine, startdust stickles, glossy accents

So the assembly is fairly self explanatory - first stamp the santa suit three times onto sugar card, colour with Copics and cut out.  Luckily, a search through my scraps box yielded enough candy cane paper for the strip and woodgrain for the posts (don't you just hate having to cut into a pristine sheet of paper for such a small piece?).

Attach the strip and posts - I laid the twine under the posts, then stuck the posts, then tied the twine.  Then it's just a matter of hanging the suits on the washing line - I used puffy tape to give it some dimension.

I could have stopped here, but it's Christmas so I wanted to add some 'bling' - stickles on the fur cuffs and glossy accents on the belt make it that bit more special.

All the supplies used in this post can be purchased form my Amuse Studio store with the exception of the stickles and glossy accents.

I hope you enjoyed your stay, please do come and visit again soon, but now on to your next stop Jennifer Corson's blog.

Now weren't you the excited one. Fell right in with the making of your card for the blog. It is oh so cute. When my stamp set gets here, I know what I will be making. Thank you.
