Do I have your attention now? Yesterday was a big day for me - I had my 1,000th visitor to My Paper Paradise!!! When I started this blog less than three months ago, I was worried that the only visitor would be my Mum - indeed, I think for the first few weeks she WAS my only visitor. With the help of my Amuse Studio friends though, I reached this marvellous milestone - 1000 visitors.
I want to share my excitement with you so I will be giving away some wonderful Amuse Studio goodies* to one lucky visitor who posts a comment over the next week. Anyway, onto today's post. Tomorrow is Makenna's 2nd birthday, I don't usually leave things to the last minute like this, but sometimes things just get away from me. I included the Amuse Studio the mighty jungle set in my last A|S order with Makenna in mind, it didn't arrive until late on Friday and I didn't get a chance to create until today. It took two attempts to get it right (and I was definitely feeling the time crunch for the second one!)
I don't know what happened here - I have such a problem making boy cards, then, when I'm feeling time constrained look what happens! I'm actually really pleased with the result, just not for this occasion.
I cut 1 1/2" squares and stamped the images, coloured with Copics, mounted on 1 5/8" squares of Bermuda card stock and then assembled the whole thing onto Ocean card.
I really like the front of the card - but wait till you see the inside ...
Isn't it perfect? I stamped the grass and lion from the same set in Fern and Papaya (using a post-it mask to cover the grass before stamping the lion).
