My card uses some of the wonderful new Christmas papers along with my favorite stamp from last season, I was so pleased to see him included in the 2011 catalogue - he's just so much fun to colour in with copics! Assembly is easy - if you just take it nice and slow.
Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Christmas
Ink: Memento
Paper: Sugar, Cranberry, Fern, twas the night before Christmas, candy cane stripe
Copics: cadmium red, special black, skin white
First, stamp Santa onto a 2" circle of sugar card, colour with Copics and mount onto a 3" scalloped circle of Fern card
Next, cut your base card in cranberry (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") , then cut a triangle of candy cane (measuring 4 1/4" along the base and 3' high), making sure you get the correct alignment of the stripes.
Now cut a 1 1/4" strip of the wonderful new 'twas the night before Christmas cardstock - I cut a full 8 1/2" strip to allow room for trimming at an angle.
I then used the Fiskars crinkly edged scallop border punch to create the background for this strip - to make it easier to align, cut two thin strips rather than one wider one. Again, make these longer than necessary - the excess will be trimmed in the final stage.
The last step is to assemble the card and then - very carefully - trim off the overhanging edges.
