I'm back!

Although sadly my computer is not! Two weeks ago it decided it had had enough and refused to start, a visit to the doctors and a long wait to be told that its operating system was terminally broken and that it wasn't worth repairing, so now I have to go look for a new one.  My daughter has kindly lent me her netbook so that I can rejoin the virtual world, so I type this on the tiny keyboard looking at an even tinier screen.

The good news is that the lack of a computer has not stopped me crafting, merely sharing with you - so I now have a backlog just waiting for me to write them up, this may take time on the netbook, but I'm going to try for at least one card / treat per day for the month of October.

I find that I am unable to make such a sad card when I actually need it, I craft best when I'm happy, the muses desert me when I'm upset, so I like to keep a sympathy card or two in my stash.

This one came together quite quickly.  It started with the two butterflies, which I cut out using the smallest butterfly die from Amuse Studio within minutes of opening the packet onto the first scrap of paper I laid hands on - winter sky woodgrain.  Clearly they needed flowers, and the peaceful colour scheme suggested the sentiment which I stamped onto another scrap, this time plain winter sky.  A few pearls for the butterfly bodies and I was done.

Please stop by tomorrow to see another of my creations, and this weekend I will be participating in a couple of blog hops with some of my Amuse Studio colleagues, the first on Saturday to celebrate World Card Making Day and the second, on Sunday is the regular 2nd of the month blog hop.

Supplies for today's card can be purchased here

Stamps: loving memories, beautiful botanicals
Paper: sugar, winter sky, winter sky woodgrain
Ink: lichen, slate
Other: butterfly die, sugar pearl stickers
