Amuse Studio September Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to My Paper Paradise and your first stop on the Amuse Studio consultant bloghop, I do hope you have time to hop along with us.  Today's theme was Autumn - expect Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving, Back to school - the scope was pretty wide.

I do not own a single Halloween set, so at first sight by card may seem a little unexpected - but I do have the   web/swirls impression plate, so I decided to emboss a web onto onyx shimmer card and see what happened!

The card was really difficult to photograph and this is why!

Every web needs a spider and this one is one of the die cut shapes from the candy box die set, clearly he needed to be attached and the silver elastic cording fitted the job.  I used standard sticky tape to fix the cord to the back of the spider, punched a small hole through the centre of the web and thread the cord through, pointing the cord down, I affixed it with more sticky tape.  I have to confess that it was a happy accident that he springs out so beautifully (two days later he still hasn't sagged!).  (TIP: if you put this card in an envelope to send, lay the spider face down at the top of the card, this way you won't crease the cord and it will stay springy)

A greeting from the essential sentiments set and another die cut with the word windows die set and I am very happy with the result - sometimes I think I have a tendency to over design initially and this time I really went with the flow.

Anyway, enough burbling from me, I am sure you are itching to get on and find out what wonderful projects my fellow hoppers have in store for you - I know I am.  Next on the hop is Linda. I have included a full list of participants in case a link gets broken, do leave lots of love on your way - we really do appreciate each and every one of your comments, and I hope to see you again soon.
