Hi, I'm feeling particularly smug as I sit down and write today - my Christmas cake is in the oven, the Christmas pudding is steaming away, the mincemeat is soaking and the slow cooker is bubbling away with a stew. The whole house smells wonderful.
I sat down with a coffee at the computer half an hour ago, and saw this challenge at The Play Date Cafe and I just had to play along. The challenge is black and white with a splash of orange, and had I seen it a couple of weeks ago I would have immediately thought Halloween, today, my first thought was this beautiful stamp from Hero Arts. The card came together 'just like that' - today is a GOOD, GOOD day!
The gingham strip is 1 1/2" x 5" and I used the yellow marvy punch to get the scalloped circles. Now I am regularly laughed at because I hate to throw scraps of paper and ribbon away, but the ribbon was a 2" scrap that I found at the bottom of my ribbon box and it couldn't be more perfect - if only I knew where I got it from!
This was the inspiration photo:
I think I have it covered. It closes very soon, but if you still have time why don't you play along too.
That's it for today - now I better get on with what I sat down to do! Hope you enjoyed you visit and that you'll come back soon.
Supplies:
Stamps: hero arts, amuse
paper: Amuse studio - sugar, onyx, onyx gingham
ink: memento black tuxedo
misc: scrap of ribbon, Copic - YR07

Those poppies from Hero arts are so pretty! Love the pop of orange you gave them! And yay on your tiny scrap of ribbon :)
