25 Years ago today ...

Twenty five years ago today I married my best friend, since then we've both grown a little older, we've moved to another continent, have three wonderful children - but best of all - he's still my best friend.  Making a card that did justice to all the love and memories was hard (in fact I have to confess I went and bought a card yesterday morning, convinced that my Muse had left me).  But I think this begins to cover it

I hope that it won't need explanation to him, but for others

* A silver embossed 25 - for 25 years
*The Eiffel tower and Arc du Triomph  - Simon proposed to me in Paris, and took me back for my 30 birthday
*The Taj Mahal - our first holiday together
*The Statue of Liberty - we went to New York for a short break last month as an early celebration
* And the words just seemed to fit our wonderful life together

I wanted to put a windmill on too, to remind him of our many cycling holidays in Holland and France  - but there just wasn't room!  Inside, I used the 'the journey is the reward' sentiment.

And here we are, 25 years ago - just look at the poof on that dress!!!
