The Ninth Hole

Another quick post today, just sneaking in before the deadline for this week's challenge over at The Playdate Cafe - if you came for the Studio Stampers Blog Hop, please scroll down to the next post.

It's my brother-in-law's birthday next week, he's a keen sportsman, so I hope he'll appreciate the golfing pun. The colours seemed perfect for this card.

As I said earlier this morning, February 1st marks the issue of the Second annual catalog from Amuse Studio, I've only seen a small preview - but it looks stuffed with new stamps, colours, papers and inks.  Please let me know if you would like me to order one for you.  It's hard to see on this card, but here is a sneak preview of two of the new inks, pistachio and titian.  I used the pistachio for the grass, a beautiful almost minty green, and titian for the golfer and sentiment - a kind of greyish brown, somewhere between slate and french roast.  Both of these colours look set to become new favorites.

I had the card stamped and layered, ready to glue, but it was lacking something - adding a tone on tone harlequin background did the trick.

I've had several inquiries about the envelope die I used in this morning's post - it's from page 11 of the holiday catalog, so if you want (need?) one of your own, then now's the time to order - there is no guarantee that items from the holiday catalog will be available after 30th.

All the supplies for this card are from Amuse Studio and are available from my online store here.  Remember, if your order is over $150 contact me so that I can make sure you get your free stuff.

stamps: swingin day, harlequin background, ovalicious
paper: eucalyptus, bermuda, vanilla
ink: titian, pistachio, sky
misc: shell pearl sticker, copics - G21, G24, B21, BV23, E00
