Time for Tea

The juices are definitely flowing this week.  When I saw my friend’s delightful teacup stamp I knew just what to do with it, I stamped it in pink, blue and green, cut it out and ….. nothing, absolutely zilch.  I could not for the life of me work out what to do next, I could not transfer that image in my head to paper.
That was three months ago, the three teacups languished on my desk as other craft projects came and went.  Then at last, I got it.  I lightly washed each cup in pearlescent water colour, stacked them in a hap-hazard fashion, mounted them on cream card stock, applied a little aging and some liquid pearls and voila! the card appeared.  It’s not my usual style, but it seems to fit the teacups and I think I like it.  It reminds me of Aunties, a tea shop in Cambridge we used to go to some 30 years ago when I was a student. (I’ve quadruple checked that because I'm really not that old but it seems it really was 30 years ago! – where did the time go?

Supplies:
Stamp - Impression Obsession
Card Stock - The Paper Garden
